The Redmi Pad Pro got its 5G-capable version back in May, and now it's finally ready to enter the Indian market. The Redmi Pad Pro 5G will be launching in India on July 29, the brand has confirmed today via its social media channels and a special microsite it put up for the upcoming device.
In it, Redmi focuses on how the Pad Pro's
screen is 33% bigger than that of the Redmi Pad, the Dolby Vision and Dolby
Atmos support, the "loud and clear" quad speakers, the 33+ days
standby battery life and 12-hour video playback time, the 120 Hz screen refresh
rate, the interconnectivity options enabled by using Xiaomi's HyperOS, and, of
course, the "go anywhere do anything" freedom the 5G connection gives
you.
The Redmi Pad Pro 5G is fully identical to
the non-5G Redmi Pad Pro, save for the connectivity support, of course. We've
already reviewed the Redmi Pad Pro, so if you're interested, make sure you give
our in-depth thoughts a look.
The Redmi Pad Pro 5G comes with a
12.1-inch 1600x2560 LCD touchscreen, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC at the helm,
6/8GB of RAM, 128/256GB of expandable storage, two 8 MP cameras (one on the
front, the other on the back), and a 10,000 mAh battery with support for 33W
wired charging. It runs Android 14 with Xiaomi's HyperOS on top.
The Redmi Pad Pro 5G will be joined in
India on July 29 by the Redmi Pad SE 4G, as already revealed by Redmi last
week. This is most likely just a Redmi Pad SE with 4G connectivity added.
