The big change on the Z60 Ultra Leading Version is the higher binned Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip featuring a prime Cortex-X4 CPU core clocked at 3.4GHz and boosted 1GHz GPU. Nubia claims the upgraded SoC will help the Z60 Ultra excel at AI tasks with the ability to run on-device AI models with up to ten billion parameters. The front is dominated by the same 6.8-inch AMOLED (FHD+ 120Hz) which features an under-display camera (UDC) for the 12MP selfie cam and an enhancemed algorithm for clearer selfies.
The AI enhancements are carried over to
the cameras with the NeoVision AI Photography System 2.0. Nubia is using
similar hardware as on the regular Z60 Ultra but with an upgrade on the 35mm
main shooter which gets a new IMX906 sensor. The 18mm ultrawide lens gets a
larger aperture and remains at 50MP resolution while the 64MP periscope (85mm)
gets added AI telephoto capabilities.
The software side is covered by Android 14
with nubia’s MyOS 14 on top. The battery remains at 6,000 mAh and still
features 80W wired charging. nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version comes in Black and
Silver colors and starts at US$ 649/€ 729/£ 649. Pre-orders start today while open
sales are scheduled to begin on August 12 from nubia’s official website.
