Honor announced the arrival of its Honor 200 Pro and Honor 200 to international markets. Both phones are up for pre-order today, with general sales starting on June 26. They join the more affordable Honor 200 Lite, which arrived globally in April. The Honor 200 Pro is the best in the lineup. It brings a 6.78-inch 1224x2700px OLED with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4,000 nits.
It runs on a 4nm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 with
12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Inside is a 5,200mAh battery with 100W wired
and 66W wireless charging, and you get 5W reverse wired charging when you need
to top up an accessory or another phone. It's the cameras that are the focus of
the Honor 200 Pro. You're looking at three 50MP units - a wide, a zoom, the
selfie shooter, and a 12MP ultrawide (with autofocus). The 50MP f/2.1 selfie
camera has a 2MP f/2.4 depth backup.
Honor has teamed up with the renowned
French photography Studio Harcourt to tune the Honor 200 Pro's cameras,
especially its AI Portrait Engine. The engine will aim to bring Harcourt's
craftsmanship and understanding of shadow and light expression to portrait mode
shots. The 'Triple 50MP Portrait Camera' brings an upgraded Honor RAW Domain
Algorithm for well-balanced portraits that will manage exposure in both bright
and dark scenes.
The Honor 200 is nearly as stacked as the
Pro but with a few cutbacks. The 6.7-inch OLED is nearly as sharp at
1200x2664px, while matching its refresh rate and brightness. The SoC is a 4nm
Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 with 8GB or 12GB of RAM. The Honor 200 packs the same
5,200mAh battery, but it only does 100W wired and 5W reverse wired charging.
You get a similar camera system with a
50MP wide with a smaller sensor, and seemingly the same 50MP telephoto, 12MP
ultrawide with autofocus, and 50MP f/2.1 selfie, though without the secondary
depth sensor. Finally, a word on the Honor 200 Lite, which is already on sale
globally. It has a 108MP f/1.8 main camera (with a high-res mode) and a 50MP
f/2.1 selfie shooter. It runs on the 6nm Dimensity 6080, and a 4,500mAh battery
with 35W charging.
The Honor 200 Lite is available from
Honor's website and across major retailers for £ 280/€ 329 (get £ 30 off through
Honor's UK website with the code "A200L30"). The Honor 200 Pro and
Honor 200 are up for pre-order from today and will go on general sale on June
26. The 12/512GB Honor 200 Pro is £ 700/€ 799 and you get a sweet add-on in the
form of the Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 8 50W Bluetooth speaker for free
(normally worth £280). The 8/256GB Honor 200 is £ 500/€ 599 and comes with a free
JBL Charge 5 Wi-Fi (normally worth £200) - both speaker deals are stock
dependent. The 12/512GB Honor 200 is € 649.
