The Redmi K70, K70 Pro, and K70E have all been made official last November, but there's a fourth member of the family on the way too - the Redmi K70 Ultra. This is expected to launch at some point in the near future, and today its specs have leaked in China. The K70 Ultra is allegedly going to be powered by the Dimensity 9300+ SoC, and it will have a "1.5K" screen with 144 Hz refresh rate, as well as a 5,500 mAh battery with support for 120W wired charging.
It's rumored to get a metal frame and
glass back, IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, the same main camera as
the K70 Pro, and apparently an 8 MP ultrawide and a 2 MP macro camera. This
sounds quite odd, as it would mean the Ultra is actually a downgrade compared
to the Pro, so do take all of this with a healthy serving of salt.
Now, while the K70 Ultra will only launch
in China, it's very likely that the upcoming Xiaomi 14T Pro will be based on
it, as last year the 13T Pro was based on the K60 Ultra with some enhancements.
Speaking of which, one of the comments on the Weibo post about this leak
mentions that the 14T Pro would instead have a 23mm main camera with the
OmniVision OV50H sensor, a 75mm 3x telephoto using the OV50D sensor, and a 16mm
ultrawide using the OV13 sensor, and of course Leica branding all-round.
This would mean the 14T Pro gets a 3x tele
compared to 2x in its predecessor, a slightly less wide ultrawide, and a
slightly wider main camera, along with a 10% bigger battery and a newer
chipset. The 14T Pro is still most likely a few months away from launching, so
we're bound to find out more about it in the coming weeks. Stay tuned.
