Amazfit recently introduced the T-Rex 3, the company’s next rugged smartwatch, at the IFA. Now the company has confirmed the launch of the smartwatch in India soon as the successor to last year’s T-Rex 2. Compared to the 1.39-inch AMOLED screen, this has a bigger 1.5-inch AMOLED screen with up to 2,000 nits peak brightness. It still has military-grade durability (MIL-STD-810G), can withstand Extreme Temperature and environmental conditions from 70C heat to -30 cold along with 100 meter-deep waters since it has 10ATM water resistance.
The smartwatch has 177+ sports modes
including the new Hyrox Race mode, Freediving, Ultramarathon, and an upgraded
Strength Training mode. It has GPS, and
comes with free offline maps and contour maps with turn directions, the company
says that it offers enhanced privacy protection measures, including options for
GPS discretion.
This has Readiness Score and Sleep Heart
Rate Variability (HRV) features. It even has 26GB of built-in storage for
storing local music. Powered by OpenAI’s GPT-4o technology and integrated at
all levels of Zepp OS 4, Zepp Flow gives you full control of your watch with
just your voice. There is also speech to text replies. It packs a bigger 700mAh
battery compared to 500mAh in the T-Rex 2, so it promises up to 27 days of
battery life with typical usage, or up to 180 hours of maximum GPS usage.
The Amazfit T-Rex 3 comes in Onyx and Lava
colours and is priced at 279.99 USD / 299.90 Euros for the global markets, so we can expect the India price to be
in the similar range. As for the launch date, the company recent ran a quick on
its social channels, and said that the winners will be announced on 20th
September, so we can expect the launch sometime next week. It will be sold on
Amazon.in, Amazfit’s website and should also be available from offline stores
after the launch.
