HUAWEI MatePad 11.5"S

HUAWEI has just launched its newest premium tablet for notetaking and even the creatives in the Philippines, the MatePad 11.5"S. To recap, the new tablet boasts a high-quality unibody metal construction that is just 6.2 mm slim.

In front, it uses an improved 11.5-inch PaperMatte panel with anti-glare and eye protection. It has a smooth 30-144Hz adaptive refresh rate, crisp 2.8K resolution, and P3 accuracy. Under the hood, it runs with the Kirin 9000WL processor with Maleoon 910 graphics. In the Philippines, HUAWEI paired it with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

The battery capacity is bigger than last year at 8,800mAh but the charging speed support is still 22.5W via USB-C. The device also has a 13MP f/1.8 AF camera at the back and an 8MP f/2.0 shooter in front capable of doing 1080p video calls.

The device also has a quad-speaker setup with HUAWEI Histen 9.0 audio support. For voice recording and improved calls, the company also added 2x microphones. For connectivity, the device has WiFi 6 (2.4GHz/5GHz) + Cavity Slot Magnetic (CSM) Antenna, anti-interference NearLink Antenna to easily connect the M-Pencil and Keyboard, and Bluetooth 5.2 BLE (SBC, AAC, LDAC). The device runs with HarmonyOS 4.2 operating system out of the box.

It supports the SuperHub technology for seamless file distribution between linked devices (PCs or smartphones and multi-window mode + app multiplier for multitasking purposes,  The device comes with the PC-level WPS office and GoPaint App offering 100+ professional brushes and paper-like canvasses + the FangTian Painting Engine for a "myriad of layers".
