The OnePlus 13 isn't expected to become official for many months from this point, but that hasn't stopped an enterprising Weibo user from creating the render you can see below, which purportedly depicts the phone's revamped rear design. The redesign has been rumored for some time now, and it looks like the circle camera island will be dropped in favor of a square with rounded corners, as you can see.
This isn't a leaked render, by the way, it
was created based on leaked information, which means it may not be 100%
accurate. But it's not intended to - it's only meant to give us a taste of what
is coming. Speaking of which, the OnePlus 13 is rumored to be among the first
devices to sport the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. That said, Xiaomi
apparently has exclusive first launch rights for the chipset, so the OnePlus 13
will be unveiled after the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro.
For reference, note that the OnePlus 12
was made official in China in early December last year, trailing the Xiaomi 14
by a few weeks. A similar situation might occur this year, but the Xiaomi 15
has been rumored to be announced in mid-October, a bit earlier than last year,
so the OnePlus 13 could be unveiled in mid to late November, we assume.
Don't forget to take the render above with
a pinch of salt, especially seeing as how another purported render of the
OnePlus 13 surfaced back in early March showing an entirely different design.
One thing is clear, though - the OnePlus 13 will look nothing like the OnePlus
12.
