vivo is gearing up to launch the V30 series in India – the vivo V30 and the yet to be announced vivo V30 Pro. There is no concrete date yet, but local retailers have started putting up “Coming soon” posters in their stores. By the looks of it, the V30 Lite is not coming.
The V30 was unveiled earlier this month
with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and three 50MP cameras – two on the back (main +
ultra wide) and one on the front (with a wide 21mm lens with autofocus). The
phone has a 6.78” 120Hz 10-bit AMOLED display with 1,260 x 2,800px resolution
and a 5,000mAh battery with 80W wired-only charging.
The vivo V30 Pro is still under wraps, but
leaks have offered a peak. The phone will be powered by the Dimensity 8200
instead, paired with the same 6.78” display and 5,000mAh battery. The Pro will
add a fourth 50MP camera to the mix, a telephoto (focal length unknown).
Even better, the Pro model will be the
first in the vivo V series that boasts Zeiss lenses, something usually reserved
for the pricier lines. According to tipsters, this will come with Zeiss Style
Portrait modes: Cine-flare, Cinematic, Biotar, Planar, Distagon and Sonnar.
There will be Zeiss video modes too like Zeiss Natural Color and Cinematic
Video Bokeh.
While the launch date for India is yet to
be announced, the company has officially confirmed that the V30 and V30 Pro
will arrive in Thailand on February 28. Since stores in India are already
putting up posters, the local launch should happen soon too.
