Varmilo recently launched the Sword68 mechanical keyboard during JD.com’s Double 11 event, retailing for 1435 Yuan (US$ 196). Varmilo Sword68 keyboard stands out with its precision CNC machined full metal body, constructed from Apple-grade 6063 aluminum and treated with zircon sand anodization for a sleek semi-gloss finish.
The Sword68 features a compact 68-key
layout, focusing on both aesthetics and functionality. Keycaps are available in
ABS for the standard version and PBT for the themed version. Notably, the Ariel
theme, inspired by maritime elements, employs five-sided sublimation technology
for a distinctive visual effect.
In terms of technical specs, the Sword68
incorporates an advanced PCB spring-mounted gasket structure and a 5-layer
internal design. This includes a gold-plated FR4 positioning plate, PORON core
cotton, and an IXPE eight-fold foam switch cushion to enhance touch and sound
quality. Users can choose between tactile and clicky switch types with the
upgraded HIFI switches.
Connectivity options are impressive,
offering wired (Type-C), 2.4G wireless, and Bluetooth modes with low latency
performance. The keyboard’s 4000mAh battery ensures extended usage.
Additionally, the Sword68 features dynamic RGB lighting with 16.8 million
customizable colors and music synchronization. The keyboard weighs
approximately 1.5kg and supports both Windows and MacOS.
Beyond functionality, the mechanical
keyboard package includes 4 Bluetooth adapters, 3 data cables, and 30 prints
with resin dripping for a three-dimensional aesthetic.
