faster, and more efficient than traditional ones. GaN chargers pack a high
wattage into a compact design, enabling faster charging. They also produce less
heat and offer improved energy efficiency, making them an advanced choice for

The Nubia Red Magic 150W Gallium Nitride
desktop charging kit serves as a charger but can also function as a desktop
charger when its power cord is extended. The package includes a standard DC
power cord suitable for some direct-charge DC devices. In case of
incompatibility, Nubia offers a free DC adapter with a choice of four popular
brands: Lenovo, Dell, ASUS, and HP.
The charger is designed for efficiency and
versatility, supporting the PD 3.1 fast charging protocol. It features a 150W
DC port, a 30W USB-A port, and two 140W Type-C ports. It’s important to note that
the mentioned capacities represent the maximum power output of each port when
used separately. The charging kit features RGB lighting effects and a
full-color touchscreen. This touchscreen allows users to monitor real-time
charging data like input and output power. It also has touch-sensitive buttons
and supports Bluetooth-controlled dynamic desktop standby animations accessible
through a mobile app, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality.
Last month, Nubia also introduced another
GaN5 charger, the Red Magic 120W with a transparent design, which is now on
sale for 299 yuan (US$ 41) in China.
