Say hello to the Redmi Pad SE – the latest tablet in the portfolio of Xiaomi's affordable sub-brand. The device arrives on the international scene with a big screen for “exceptional visual enjoyment” and a price tag of just €199. Redmi equipped this tablet with a Snapdragon 680 chipset. It is built on the 6nm process and has 128 GB storage alongside; there is a micro SD port for up to 1 TB more. We get to select one of three RAM options – 4 GB, 6 GB, or 8 GB.
The screen is an 11” LCD with a resolution
of 1920 x 1200 pixels with up to 90 Hz refresh rate. Redmi promises 400 nits
brightness and 1500:1 contrast, and the brand even certified the panel at TUV
Rheinland for its low blue light.
The front has a fairly thin bezel which
hides the 5 MP selfie camera that sits on the top side (when held
horizontally). At the back is 8 MP f/2.0 camera with 1080p video recording
capabilities. Redmi Pad SE comes with “large-size quad speakers” and support
for Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio, and it even has a 3.5 mm audio jack. There is
also a USB-C port for the 8,000 mAh battery, which, sadly, supports just 10W
charging. Other specs include Android 13 with MIUI Pad 14 on top, a 478g body,
dual-frequency Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0.
Redmi Pad SE is available in three colors
– Lavender Purple, Graphite Gray, and Mint Green. Prices are € 199 for the 4 GB,
€ 229 for the 6 GB, and € 249 for the 8 GB variant. Some retailers will also
offer a proprietary cover in Black or White for extra comfort and protection at
an undisclosed additional price.
