The Pixel Watch 2 from Google is expected to arrive later this fall and we’ve already seen a few leaks and rumors but we now have a more detailed leak thanks to a new listing on the Google Play Console. Pixel Watch 2 is seen bearing the eos codename and a nearly identical design to its predecessor with a round screen of 384 x 384 px resolution and a crown element dial on the side. The screen is expected to remain at 1.2 inches in diagonal and will likely be of the OLED variety.
As expected Google is ditching Exynos in
favor of Qualcomm and its Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chipset (SW5100) alongside 2GB
RAM. We also get confirmation the Pixel Watch 2 boots Android 13, presumably
with Wear OS 4 on top.
Pixel Watch 2 is rumored to launch with a
306mAh battery which is marginally larger than the 294 mAh cell on the first
gen Pixel Watch. The new device is also expected to ship with Ultra-wideband
(UWB) connectivity and new watch face options. Google is expected to launch the
Pixel Watch 2 alongside the Pixel 8 series.
