We recently spotted an ad via Instagram launched by realme Philippines to promote two of its Y series smartphones—the C21Y and C25Y. C25Y is new. Coming from the realme C25S, the C25Y features an improved 50MP f/1.8 PDAF primary camera instead of 48MP. It is also using a different chipset, 1.8GHz 12bn UNISOC Tiger T610 octa-core with Mali-G52 MP2 (614.4MHz) GPU instead of MTK Helio G85.
This uses 2x Cortex-A75 cores and 6c
Cortex-A55 cores all clocked at 1.8GHz. The battery is also a bit smaller at
5,000mAh versus the 6,000mAh of other C25 phones. The back design is also
slightly different as it features a 3D curved glossy material with a
luggage-like gradient finish in Glacier Blue colorway. Based on renders, the
square camera hump is also a bit slimmer.
For the rest of the specs, the handset
features a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD notch display, 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage,
USB-C 18W fast charging, a rear-facing fingerprint reader, and dual SIM slots.
