Realme launched the C53 in May with a 50MP primary camera in Malaysia, and the company today announced it will introduce a new Realme C53 in India on July 19 featuring a 108MP primary camera. Realme is touting the new C53 as the "First and only 108MP Ultra Clear Camera in the segment," and the image it shared reveals gold will be one of the color options it will have in India.
The picture also confirms the presence of
a side-mounted fingerprint scanner on the 108MP model, and you can see that the
rear cameras and the flash aren't placed on a squircle-shaped camera island
like the 50MP model.
A teaser posted by Realme's Indian branch
on Twitter confirms the new C53 will pack a waterdrop notch display like the
50MP version, but whether or not it shares the rest of the specs with the 50MP
model remains to be seen.
The Realme C53 sporting 50MP camera is
built around a 6.74" 90Hz FullHD+ LCD and has the Unisoc Tiger T612 SoC at
the helm with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It runs Android 13-based Realme UI T
out of the box and packs a 5,000 mAh battery charged through a USB-C port at up
to 33W. The Realme C53 features an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and
video calls, and you also get a 3.5mm headphone jack.
