Leica Q3


Leica introduced the new Q-series large sensor compact camera with a magnesium alloy body, triple resolution sensor, and weather-resistant body. The new Leica Q3 features the same 60MP triple-resolution BSI-CMOS sensor introduced with the Leica M11 last year. It is paired with the Maestro IV processor that enables it to get up to 15FPS continuous burst, ISO 50-100,000, Shutter speed: 120 sec to 1/2,000 sec (mechanical shutter) or 1/16,000 sec (electronic shutter). Attached in front is the 28mm f/1.7-16 Summilux lens with a macro focus range of just 17 cm.  It comes with a new Hybrid AF made of contrast detection and phase detection with over 315 AF points.

At the back is a new 3-inch 1.843 Million-dot tilting touch screen. Above it is a new 5.76 Million-dot EVF with 100 percent coverage and 0.79 magnification. The compact camera can record up to C8K/8K at 30/25/24 fps with a crop. 1080p without a crop. It saves footage into MPEG-4, H.254, and H.265. It has a stereo microphone and a mono speaker.

It saves the footage to a UHS-II card slot and thru the micro HDMI port. Aside from the HDMI port is the USB-C port that supports power delivery. The body is IP57 rated for water and dust resistance. It measures 130 x 80.3 x 92.6mm and weighs 658 grams without the battery.

The 2,200mAh battery is rated for 350 shots per charge. It is compatible with the Drop XL Wireless Charger up to 10W. It can charge the BP-SCL6 battery in approximately 180 minutes.
