The big Honor event today saw the arrival of premium smartphones and foldable flagships, and they were accompanied on stage by a completely new pair of audio wearables. Meet the Honor Earbuds 3i that bring ANC, AI noise reduction and a big battery for the equivalent of US$ 70. The new Earbuds 3i come with a 10 mm dynamic driver, hidden in the well-crafted body. During the event, Honor CEO said “pebble look” multiple times, and we can see why he was so excited about the design - the earbuds look silky smooth in their only color option of White.
There are three microphones on each bud,
and the stem is equipped with a tiny touch sensor as well for gesture controls.
There is also a sensor for wear detection, and the earbuds support low-latency
mode for gaming which naturally drains the battery faster. Each bud has a 55
mAh battery inside, and the case has 410 mAh. Honor claims the battery life can
be 10 hours on a single charge, provided the ANC is turned off. Charging is
only over the wire through a USB-C port, and from 0 to 100% it is reportedly
taking about 60 minutes.
Connectivity is Bluetooth 5.2 with Honor
devices supporting quick pairing, although for full features users should
download the Honor Smart Space app. Honor Earbuds 3i is currently available for
pre-order at the company store in China. The price is CNY 499 (US$ 70/€ 67) and the
first sale is scheduled for December 2.
