The nubia Red Magic 8 Pro is coming in the next few weeks (or months, tops). This is made obvious by a new 3C certification the device has just received. While it doesn't reveal a lot about the phone, the company already officially announced that its next gaming handset would use Qualcomm's recently unveiled Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 top of the line chipset.
Additionally, the certification reveals
the next Red Magic gaming phone will come with support for 165W wired charging.
That's up from the already insane 135W on the Red Magic 7 Pro and the Red Magic
7S Pro. These two got their 5,000 mAh cells from zero to 100% in 15 minutes, so
the increased charging capacity might take that down even more, if the cell
size remains the same.
Of course, we have to note that such
speeds only apply to the Chinese Red Magic models, unfortunately - the global
ones were both capped at 65W this year. It's unclear if the situation will
remain the same in 2023, when the 8 Pro is most likely launching.
Aside from the charging power, we also
know that the Red Magic 8 Pro will have Bluetooth 5.2 on board and 5G
connectivity, through two previous certifications. But that's about it so far.
