Samsung has launched the Galaxy Wide 6 smartphone in South Korea. It has arrived as the successor to the Galaxy Wide 5, which debuted in September last year. Like the predecessor model, the Wide 6 features the Dimensity 700 chipset. Some of its other highlights include a 90Hz display and a 50-megapixel triple camera unit. The Galaxy Wide 6 has a 6.5-inch LCD
display that offers an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a 20:9 aspect
ratio. The waterdrop notch on the screen houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The
back panel of the device has a 50-megapixel main camera. It is coupled with a
2-megapixel macro camera, a 2-megapixel depth assist lens, and an LED flash. It
boots to One UI-based Android 12 OS.
The Galaxy Wide 6 has a 5,000mAh battery
and the device is powered by the Dimensity 700 chipset. The handset ships with
4 GB of RAM, 128 GB of built-in storage, and a microSD card slot. When it comes
to security, the Galaxy Wide 6 offers features like face unlock and a
side-facing fingerprint scanner. The features that are available on the device
include dual-SIM support, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, a USB-C
port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The Wide 6 is a rebranded version of the Galaxy
A13 5G, which is available in other markets.
The Galaxy Wide 6 will be available
exclusively in South Korea. It is priced at KRW 349,000 (US$ 256) and can be
purchased in colors like black, white, and blue.
