The IFA 2022 at Berlin, Germany kicked off with pomp and a decent roll call of manufacturers. Nokia licensee OffGlobal has announced its presence in the IFA 2022 with the release of the Nokia PureBook lineup of laptops. The three new laptops are the Nokia PureBook Fold, Nokia PureBook Lite, and Nokia PureBook Pro.
The Nokia PureBook Fold has a 14-inch
display, the same as the PureBook Lite, while the PureBook Pro has a 15.6-inch
display. The Fold and Lite models are powered by the Intel Pentium Silver
N6000, while the PureBook Pro comes with an Intel Core i3 1220P. The lower
chipset reflects a more affordable price than the Intel Core i3. The Core i3 is
a more powerful chipset than the AMD Ryzen 5000 and features thin and
affordable laptops. It is close in terms of performance to the Core i7
processors.
The three laptops offer full HD IPS
screens with a 60Hz refresh rate. They offer a peak brightness of 250 nits. The
FHD resolution of the three new laptops is 1,920 x 1,080 pixels while the
PureBook Fold has a touch display. The Nokia PureBook lineup supports Bluetooth
5.0 connectivity and WiFi 5. They also come with USB-C 3.2 (x2), USB-A 3.2 (x1)
ports, and a 3.2mm headphone jack. The models have 8GB of RAM, a fingerprint
scanner for added security, and expandable storage. The Fold and Lite models will
have 128GB of SSD while the PureBook Pro has 512GB of SSD.
The PureBook Lite weighs 1.47kg while the
PureBook Fold weighs 2.5kg, with the Pro model weighing 2kg. The Pro model has
a 2MP camera and an aluminum top frame. The smaller models come with a 1MP
camera and a plastic frame. Backlit keyboard functionality is present in the
15.6-inch model and it has a 57Wh battery with 65W charging. The Lite and Fold
models, on the other hand, have a 38Wh battery with a 44W power adapter. Up to
8 hours of activity is possible on a single charge in the 14-inch models.
The Nokia PureBook series will run on
Windows 11 out of the box and feature a four-speaker system for the Pro and two
speakers for the smaller laptops. While it has been confirmed that the new
laptops will arrive in France this month, full availability details are still
sketchy. OffGlobal has also kept the pricing details of the new laptops under
wraps at this time.
