Infinix just made the news with the teaser of Infinix Ultra Zero, allegedly the company’s first phone with a 200MP camera (and its first with 180W fast charging too, improving on Note 12 VIP’s 120W). The company has another phone with an impressive camera in the works. According to our source, one of the upcoming Zero phone will be the first on the market to have a 60MP front camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Selfie cameras with OIS are very rare and the highest resolution you can get right now is on 2021’s vivo V21 (and V21 5G) with 44MP sensor.
There are unconfirmed reports that the new
iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max have OIS selfie cameras, but other than that no
2022 model offers this feature at any resolution (this year’s vivo V23 phones
dropped the OIS and some added an ultra wide module instead).
Our source also sent us spy shots of one
of the upcoming Infinix Zero models, which show off a display with strongly
curved sides. We are not 100% sure whether these photos show the phone in
question with a 60MP OIS front camera - the design is similar to what we saw in
the leaked images of the Zero Ultra. However, we think those are different
phones as the Ultra is rumored to have a 32MP front camera.
Anyway, Infinix has officially scheduled
the Zero Ultra for an October 5 unveiling and there is a chance that this Zero
model will join it.
