Back in 2021, Infinix announced its 160W fast charging solution for its concept phone. However, that fast charging technology was never really seen in the commercial phones from Infinix. It appears that the company isn’t stopping at 160W, as now a new Infinix power adapter has appeared online with a whopping 180W charging speed. The tipster Piyush Bhasarkar has spotted the listing of a new Infinix power adapter. The charger has bagged TUV Rheinland certification and it has the model number U1800XEA. It has a 20V and a 9.0A charging speed, which translates to a whopping 180W max fast charging.
So far, Infinix hasn’t revealed details of
any of its upcoming phones with this 180W fast charging support, nor have we
seen any leaks circulating about this. It appears that the company has plans to
announce this fast solution soon. It won’t likely be for commercial usage,
since we still haven’t seen the 160W fast charging from the brand in any of its
phones on the market.
In related news, other brands like
OnePlus, Realme, and Oppo have commercialized the 160W GaN charging solution.
However, the chargers support a max of 160W GaN head with an actual charging
speed of 150W. A OnePlus phone with the model number PGKM10 was recently spotted
on 3C with this 160W charging support.
