The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G will be made official on February 17, but the company has decided to unveil some details about it early – it already confirmed the Dimensity 900 chipset, now it is officially showing off the rear of the phone. This colorway with a subtle gradient is called Bahama Blue. There are three cameras on the bump, we’re guessing main + ultra wide + macro (considering the tiny lens on the third one). The cameras themselves are expected to be the same as on the original CE (64+8+2 MP).
OnePlus has also confirmed that the Nord
CE 2 5G will support 65W SuperVOOC charging that promises 1 day’s worth of
battery life in just 15 minutes of charging. Other teasers suggest that the
phone will feature a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a microSD slot. There will be a
couple of more details revealed before Thursday, you can keep an eye on the
Amazon.in landing page if you’re interested.
Unofficially, the phone is expected to
deliver a few upgrades over the original: a new chipset (Dimensity 900 vs.
Snapdragon 750G), faster charging (65W vs. 30W) and the microSD slot, but
little else. It should be in line for two OS updates and a price tag of
₹ 24,000-28,000 (US$ 315-370), though the price range varies from rumor to rumor.
PS. The February 17 event will also
feature new OnePlus smart TVs for India. There seems to be a more powerful Nord
2T in the works (Dimensity 1300, 80W charging), though it will probably be
reserved for a later launch.
