Earlier this month we saw a couple of reports about vivo’s new S12 lineup including a leaked render and a spy photo. The smartphone has now been officially teased on Weibo by MediaTek’s handle and the chipmaker confirms the smartphone will be powered be the Dimensity 1200 on the 6nm process.
The vivo S12 will come in standard and Pro
variants. As per previous reports, the S12 Pro will have a wide notch housing
dual selfie cameras. The first is a 50MP Samsung JN1 sensor along with an 8MP
ultrawide shooter. The rear triple camera setup will be headlined by a 108MP main
camera. The S12 Pro will be positioned as a portrait photography camera and is
targeted at vivo’s offline markets.
The S12 Pro will have a FullHD+ OLED
display with curved edges – a first time for the vivo S-series - and an
in-display fingerprint scanner. 44W charging is expected to appear on the S12
Pro like its predecessor as revealed by 3C certification. The vivo S12 lineup
will be announced before the end of December.
