The Huawei Honor 9 Youth Edition is scheduled to be
released on Thursday this week. Earlier this month, the specs and price of this
device surfaced online. However, a new listing on China Telecom’s website
reveals a price which is different from earlier speculation.
China Telecom reveals that the 4GB + 32GB model will
sell for 1,999 Yuan (US$302) while the 4GB + 64GB variant will go for 2,399
Yuan (US$ 363). It is quite surprising that there was no mention of the earlier
rumored 3GB RAM variant.
This smartphone is a lower version of Huawei Honor 9
which was released earlier this year. It comes with plastic borders and glass
front. Rumors have it that this device will be powered by a Kirin 659 chipset.
It will be equipped with a 5.65-inch Full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio
and a display resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. In the camera department, both
sides of this device will come the same with dual cameras which is a 13MP
shooter supported by a 20MP sensor. Other features include NFC and 4G+.
