Micromax will be launching the Micromax IN 1 smartphone on March 19 in India. The handset is expected to fill the gap between the Micromax IN 1b and Micromax IN Note 1 smartphones that debuted in November 2020. The entire design of the upcoming smartphone is now revealed on the updated microsite available on Micromax India’s website.
The official listing shows that the
handset will sport an X-shaped patterned rear shell that will house a
fingerprint scanner and a rectangle-shaped camera module. It is flanked by a
punch-hole display on the front. The handset is said to arrive as a toned-down
version of the IN Note 1. It will be available in blue and silver colors.
The Micromax IN 1 is expected to arrive
with a 6.67-inch IPS LCD panel that will produce a Full HD+ resolution of 1080
x 2460 pixels and 450nits maximum brightness. It will be fueled by the Helio
G80 chipset and up to 6 GB of RAM. The handset is expected to offer users with
up to 128 GB of native storage.
The Micromax IN 1 will be featuring a
front camera of 8-megapixel. Its rear camera setup has a 48-mgeapixel main
camera and a pair of 2-megapixel auxiliary lenes. The handset will be backed by
a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. It is expected to run on
the stock version of Android 11 OS.
The highest variant of the Micromax IN 1b
is priced at Rs 7,999 (US$ 110), whereas the starting model of the IN Note 1
costs Rs 11,499 (US$ 158). Hence, it appears that the upcoming IN 1 may carry a
starting price of Rs 8,999 (US$ 124) or Rs 9,999 (US$ 137).
