Redmi 9 Power

A new Redmi phone is almost ready to descend upon the Indian subcontinent, and it will be known as the Redmi 9 Power. According to a new rumor, unless something changes last minute, the Xiaomi sub-brand will unveil the Redmi 9 Power in India on December 15.

Now if you're wondering what to expect from this phone, as per the leaks and rumors so far, it will be nothing but a rebranded Redmi Note 9 4G, which was announced in China last week. Funnily enough, that phone is nothing but a rebranded (and very very slightly tweaked) Poco M3, which launched globally two days before that event in China. Xiaomi never ceases to amaze when it comes to naming and rebranding, that's for sure.

Anyway, here's the skinny on what you can expect the Redmi 9 Power to pack: a 6.53" 1080p+ LCD screen, the Snapdragon 662 chipset, at least 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, a 48 MP main rear camera, an 8 MP selfie snapper, Android 10 with MIUI 12, and a 6,000 mAh battery with support for 18W charging. The price should be low too, but how low remains to be seen. In China it sells for the equivalent of INR 11,286 at the current exchange rates, but we wouldn't be surprised if it goes down to INR 9,999 with offers and such.
