Xiaomi has launched a new laser projector
in China, dubbed as Mi Laser Projector 1S 4K. It is available for purchase
during the 618 shopping festival in China and is priced at 12,999 yuan which
roughly converts to US$ 1,838.
According to the company, this new
projector is 30 percent brighter when compared to the previous-generation
model. It makes use of short-focus that allows the device to cast a screen from
80 inches and up to 150 inches from just a few centimeters away.
Xiaomi says that an 80-inch screen can be
cast when the projector is placed just 5.5-inch away and for the maximum
150-inch display, the projector needs to be placed at a distance of at least 19
inches. Under the hood, the device comes powered by a T968-H processor, along
with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. To make sure that it doesn’t get
heated easily, the company has included three cooling fans.
As for the display, as the name indicates,
it supports 4K resolution and is also HDR10 certified. Coming to the
brightness, it supports 2,000 ANSI Lumens, which means that users can use it
even when under natural light without any issues. The company has added HDMI
and USB 3.0 as connectivity options on the device. The lifespan of this new
Xiaomi Mi Laser Projector 1S 4K’s light source is estimated to be around 25,000
hours. The Mi Laser Projector 1S 4K carries a price tag of 14,999 yuan which is
approximately US$ 2,121 but during the 618 Sales, it is available at a discounted
price of 12,999 yuan which is roughly US$ 1,838.
