A couple of weeks after its Chinese
debut as the Y7s, the vivo S1 has made its way to India. The device packs a
compelling spec sheet with a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display, triple camera
setup and large battery starting at INR 17,990 (US$ 253) for the 4GB RAM and 128
GB storage version.
Upfront, we have a 6.38-inch FHD+ Super
AMOLED display with a UD fingerprint scanner and notch for the 32MP selfie cam.
Under the hood, the S1 packs the MediaTek Helio P65 chipset paired with 4 or
6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage.
The camera department features a triple
sensor array with a 16MP F/1.78 main shooter alongside an 8MP F/2.2 ultra-wide
snapper and a 2MP F/2.4 depth sensor. The battery department is handled by a
4,500 mAh cell with support for 18W fast charging over microUSB. On the
software front, the device features vivo’s FuntouchOS 9 on top of Android Pie.
Pricing for the vivo S1 starts at INR
17,990 (US$ 253) for the 4/128GB model, INR 18,990 (US$ 267) will get you the 6/64GB
model while the top of the line 6/128GB will set buyers back INR 19,990 (US$ 281).
The 4GB RAM version will be available through offline retailers starting
tomorrow and August 14 on online channels like Amazon and Flipkart. The 6/128GB
variant will go on sale next month in both Diamond Black and Skyline Blue
colors.
