MemoXpress just revealed Starmobile UP Octa, the
company's upcoming budget "gaming and streaming centric" phone. It's
also the company's first phone after being quiet for several months. Starmobile UP Octa highlights a
6.08-inch display with HD+ 1560 x 720 resolution and tiny teardrop notch to let
you enjoy content on a bigger screen despite its handy body. It also has an
anti eye-strain feature which will allow you to use the screen longer.
True to its name, Starmobile UP Octa also features
an octa-core processor. It uses the 28nm UNISOC SC9863A chip 8 Cortex-A55
(1.6GHz + 1.2GHz) with PowerVR GE8322 GPU for 3D graphics acceleration. The phone is paired with 2GB RAM,
16GB expandable storage with microSD up to 64GB, and 3,000mAh battery capacity.
On the camera part, it comes with a 5MP AF camera
with AI scene recognition that can even identify the foreground and the
background of the image. Most likely, that is for the bokeh effect. It also has
an LED flash that could be useful for taking images in the dark. For selfies, you'll find a 5MP FF
shooter with AI face unlock tech.
The other highlight of the phone is it goes with
700MHz 4G LTE for reliable internet speeds. It even runs with the Android 9.0
Pie OS out of the box. Starmobile UP Octa's package comes with a travel charger, micro USB
cable, and an earphones with mic. The phone comes in blue, gray,
and gold color options.
MemoXpress revealed that the device is now available
for pre-order at any MemoXpress and JrMemoXpress stores nationwide. It retails
for PHP 4,990 only.
