Xiaomi likes to offer plenty of choice with its
flagship line. Last year we got the regular Mi 8, followed by the Mi 8 SE,
which toned down the size and processor and lastly the Mi 8 Pro which offered a
transparent back and in-display fingerprint reader. This year we’ve already
been treated to the Mi 9 and Mi 9 SE and it looks like the Mi 9T is next in
line, replacing last year's Pro model.
The upcoming Xiaomi Mi 9T has already passed
certification in Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore and Russia so it's clearly a
global phone. Current rumors suggest it should retain most of the key internals
from the regular Mi 9 like the Snapdragon 855 SoC and 48MP main camera although
with a larger battery alongside 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
Pricing should see a slight increase over the
regular Mi 9. We’ll keep you posted with more details once they appear.
