ZTE unveiled its entry-level Blade A7 at the
beginning of the month and now it's adding the even more affordable ZTE Blade
A5 2019 to its lineup. The phone offers an 18:9 screen, octa-core processor and
affordable price. The Blade A5 2019 features a 5.45-inch HD+ screen with an 8MP f/2.4
selfie cam sitting in the classic full bezel above it.
Around the back, it has a single 13MP f/2.0 camera
with LED flash. The phone is powered by the Unisoc SC9863A chipset with 2GB RAM
and 16GB storage, which can be expanded via the microSD card slot. Battery wise
we’re looking at a 2,600 mAh cell which can be topped up via microUSB. The
phone also sports a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Blade A5 2019 runs on Android 9.0 with ZTE’s
MiFavor 9.0 UI skin on top. The phone is immediately available in Russia in
blue and black color variants. Pricing starts at RUB 6,490 (US$ 100), but we’ll
have to wait and see whether ZTE decides to bring it to other markets.
