Xiaomi Mi Max 3

The mysterious Xiaomi phone with model number M1807E8S had recently bagged 3C certification in China. It is speculated that it could be the upcoming Mi Max 3 smartphone. The 3C certification of the phone did not reveal any information on its specs. Today, the leaked specs sheet of the alleged Mi Max 3 phone has surfaced on Weibo. It reveals that it will be a major upgrade over predecessor Mi Max 2 phone.

The below image reveals that the Mi Max 3 will be embracing a full screen design as it will be supporting Full HD+ resolution on its LCD display of 6.99 inches. This suggests that the handset may carry support for 18:9 aspect ratio. The Snapdragon 710 that powers the likes of Xiaomi Mi 8 SE and Vivo NEX A will be powering the Xiaomi Mi Max 3. It will be available in two RAM variants of 4 GB and 6 GB.

The Mi Max 3 will be the first phone in its series to arrive with a dual camera setup. It is expected to feature 20-megapixel Sony IMX363 as the primary sensor. It is the very same camera sensor that is found Xiaomi’s flagship phones like Xiaomi Mi 8 and Mi MIX 2S. There is no information available on the secondary sensor as well as the selfie snapper of the phone.

The handset is pegged to come loaded with MIUI 10 flavored Android 8.1 Oreo. It is expected to receive power from a 5,500mAh battery that will carry support for 18W fast charging through Quick Charge 3.0.

This leak has no information on the storage variants of the Mi Max 3. It is likely that 4 GB and 6 GB RAM variants may respectively feature 64 GB and 128 GB of native storage. Like the predecessor model, it may feature a microSD card. Leaked firmware files that belong to the alleged Mi Max 3 that had surfaced around four months ago had revealed that it may come equipped with dual speakers, wireless charging, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and iris scanner.

As of this writing, there is no information on the launch date and pricing of the Xiaomi Mi Max 3. Even though the above specs appear suitable for the smartphone, it is advisable to take this report with a grain of salt.
