Last week UMIDIGI revealed the upcoming UMIDIGI Z2
Pro Ceramic Edition that will be available together with the standard versions.
As other companies have done in the past, a ceramic version will be provided to
offer the extra luxury some users seek. It will come at a higher
price and according to a post from Jonny Zhang, the company’s CEO, the Z2 Pro
will start from US$ 359.99. This is an awesome price for a Helio P60 device with a
ceramic body but it is very close to the price of the Z2 (official price is US$ 299.99) so we better wait and see if this checks out or it is the starting
price of the standard version.
If the price checks out it will be a breakthrough
for the market since devices with similar materials like the Xiaomi Mix 2 and
Essential Phone start from US$ 500. What’s more, besides the ceramic body, the Z2
Pro Ceramic Edition will come bundled with the UMIDIGI Q1, the wireless fast
charger with an output of 15W. If you add the S5K2P7 rear camera sensor with an
f/1.7 large aperture, big 1.12μm pixels, and a large optical format 1/1.28″
that offers good low-light shots, you have an awesome package at a great price.
Selfies should be great too considering the fact that the front camera hosts
the Sony IMX371 sensor. The UMIDIGI Z2 Pro will start presale next month.
