The month of August is shaping up to be a pretty
busy month for Samsung. Not only is the company preparing the release of the
Galaxy Note 9 and a new Gear S4 smartwatch, but it also has three new tablets
up its sleeves in the form of the new Galaxy Tab Advanced 2 and Advanced 2 XL,
and the Galaxy Tab S4, the latter of which is the subject of the latest leak.
Previously, it was revealed that the tablet would
boost the display size up to 10.5-inches. This has once again been confirmed,
although the display resolution of 2560 x 1600p has now also been specified.
Also, on the camera front, a rear 13-megapixel sensor will be present, along
with a respectable 8-megapixel selfie camera. In regards to the internal side
of things, just as expected, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 will be powering
everything, backed by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Additionally,
providing a significant battery life improvement over the Galaxy Tab S3,
Samsung’s new flagship model will boast a 7300mAh power pack. However, if the
leaked sketch is anything to go by, it appears the South Korean company could
have included an even larger battery if it had wished to.
Alongside the announcement of the tablet at IFA
2018, Samsung is expected to present a new Book Cover Keyboard accessory, with
this expected to be offered in both Black and Grey colors, just like the Tab
S4. Nevertheless, on the pricing front, it remains to be seen how Samsung will
choose to position the new offering. After all, it’s expected to face tough
competition from Apple’s iPad line.
