Hisense has
officially launched the Hisense H20 smartphone. The H20 is a mid-range model
which was earlier unveiled at the Asian CES 2018 in Shanghai. The
specifications of the device have already been unmasked but the pricing wasn’t
revealed until now.
The Hisense H20 packs a 5.84-inch full-screen
display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The display design includes a notch at the
top with thin bezels at the sides. In terms of appearance, the design looks
sleek despite the cut out which isn’t too wide. The rear design includes a dual
camera setup arranged vertically at the top left corner. The camera pixels
weren’t revealed but from TENAA we can grab that it is a 12MP + 5MP combo while
there is a 20MP selfie shooter onboard. Both cameras are AI-enabled. There is
also a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor at the back. The back design also looks
sleek.
The Hisense H20 packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636
chipset paired with 6GB of RAM. The device also comes with 128GB of internal
storage. It is possible that there will be other memory variants. The device
runs on Android 8.1 Oreo which will likely have a custom skin on top. The phone
also comes with built-in AI system. As for the pricing, it is available for
2599 yuan (US$ 393) in China. At this price range, the device looks overpriced
especially since other models in its category like the Redmi Note 5 comes in
way cheaper. But then, for a 6GB + 128GB phone, the price isn’t bad at all.
