DJI just released a new version of their handheld
camera stabilizer in the Philippines, the Osmo Mobile 2. DJI markets the Osmo
Mobile 2 as being "Redesigned for the Storyteller in All of Us". It
is supposed to help users take smooth and stabilized videos and panoramic
shots. This will open up for creative opportunities with cinematic camera
movements.
DJI's three-axis gimbal technology has been the
answer for their great camera stabilizers in the past. It cancels out unwanted
movements for three different directions ensuring that your video stays smooth
even in shaky conditions. In addition to this, the Osmo Mobile 2 also has a
built-in SmoothTrack technology that tracks and compensates your camera's
movements.
Professional controls for settings such as ISO and
shutter speed has also been made more accessible through their simplified
control setup. There is also a new zoom slider that allows you to easily
control your zoom levels even allowing you to produce a dolly zoom.
In terms of battery life, the Osmo Mobile 2 has a
long battery life of 15 hours of recording which is thrice the battery life of
the previous version. You can even use it as a powerbank since it has a USB
port for your smartphone to connect to.
The DJI GO mobile app is also compatible that allows
you to access intelligent photo and video features to help you create
professional grade content. Features such as ActiveTrack, Hyperlapse, Panorama,
Lone Exposure and Light Trail mode will be available in the mobile app.
The DJI Osmo Mobile 2 is now available for PHP 7,990
thru MSI-ECS.
