The Blade V9 is the next Android smartphone ZTE is
likely to introduce in the United States. It won't be the first Blade series
handset to go on sale in the US, and most likely not the last, but the phone
will certainly mark a premiere. The Blade V9 could be ZTE's first smartphone
powered by Android Oreo to make its debut in the US.
The device was recently spotted at FCC (Federal
Communication Commission), which indicates ZTE might ready the Blade V9 for a
US release. As far as specs go, this looks like a decent mid-range device.
The phone sports a 5.7-inch Full HD+ display with
18:9 aspect ratio and packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor. Although ZTE
plans to launch different variations of the Blade V9 based on the amount of
memory, the US model comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage.
On the back, ZTE's smartphone features a dual-camera
setup (16MP+5MP), while in the front there's a secondary 13-megapixel selfie
snapper. A rear-mounted fingerprint sensor is included as well, along with a
3,200 mAh battery and an audio jack.
It's quite possible that the ZTE Blade V9 will be
officially unveiled next month at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018, but it's
yet unclear when it will be released in the US.
