Blu is
seemingly getting ready to launch its very first handset with an 18:9 aspect
ratio display, thus joining the elongated screen trend started last year by the
LG G6 and Samsung Galaxy S8. According to an Amazon listing, the upcoming Blu
handset is called Pure View, and will cost US$ 199.99 in the US.
The screen of the Blu Pure View is a 5.7-inch HD+
one, which should mean it's got a 720 x 1440 pixel resolution - not terrible,
but not too exciting, either. The new smartphone is powered by a mid-range octa-core
Mediatek MT6753 processor, further featuring 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of expandable
internal memory, fingerprint scanner, and face unlock. You're also getting a 13
MP rear camera with flash, and a dual 8 MP front-facing camera (with its own
flash).
Blu hasn't announced the Pure View yet, but, since
the phone's been listed on Amazon for several days now, we assume it's going to
be released in the near future. The handset will be compatible only with
GSM/LTE carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile, MetroPCS, Cricket, and Straight Talk.
