Lenovo has just sent out invites to the press for
the official PH launch of the new K8 Note and K8 Plus, smartphones w/ promising
specs for the expected price. As a quick recap, Lenovo has skipped the K7 to
follow-up the K6 in favor of the K8 Note series. These "killer"
multimedia and gaming centric devices were first introduced in India last
September 2017.
The Lenovo K8 Note is packed w/ a 5.5-inch FHD IPS
TheaterMax screen w/ Gorilla Glass protected 2.5D glass, 2.3GHz 64-bit Helio
X23 deca-core processor w/ Mali-T880 MP4 GPU, 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage
up to 128GB (dedicated microSD card slot), and 4,000mAh battery. On the camera
part, it has a 13MP + 5MP Samsung sensor for bokeh effects. In front, there's a
13MP f/2.0 camera w/ flash.
It also has WiFi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, A-GPS,
fingerprint sensor, FM Radio, and Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS. It comes in venom
black and fine gold colors, measures at 154.5 x 75.9 x 8.5 mm, and weighs at
180 g.
On the other hand, the Lenovo K8 Plus is the
lower-end handset that's packed w/ a 5.2-inch FHD IPS Gorilla Glass protected
2.5D screen, 2.5GHz 64-bit Helio P25 octa-core processor, 3GB or 4GB RAM, 32GB
expandable storage, 4,000mAh battery, 13MP + 5MP dual main camera, 8MP selfie camera
w/ LED flash, WiFi, LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, A-GPS, FM Radio, and Android 7.1.1
Nougat OS. It comes in venom black color, measures at 147.9 x 73.7 x 8.99 mm,
and weighs at 165g.
The Lenovo K8 Note and Lenovo K8 Plus will launch in
the Philippines this November 7, 2017.
