The latest report from TrendForce pointed out
that this year’s most high-end Apple iPhone 8 will use 5.8-inch display, but
due to production capacity problems, it will not use curved design. The report
also confirmed that its physical Home key will be canceled, the purpose is to
get a higher screen-to-body ratio, once again verified the previous rumors.
TrendForce’s report also said that iPhone8 will come
with 3GB RAM, the same with the iPhone, but only provides two kinds of storage
space: 64GB and 256GB, and with 3D sensing function, enable to face recognition
and AR application expansion, before the IT Home reported that famous Apple
analyst Guo MingQi also said that Apple iPhone8 will be equipped with
“revolutionary” 3D front-mounted camera.
Before there was news that iPhone8 will use a curved
screen design, but TrendForce’s report said that due to production capacity
problems and drop test is unqualified, Apple finally canceled the plan, but
owing to using OLED and brand-new “bezel-less” design, thus compared to iPhone
7, its screen still has changed a lot.
TrendForce also confirmed that the high-end version
iPhone8 price will be higher, or will be more than US$ 1,000, which also
coincides with GUO MingQi’s prediction. In addition, the report also pointed
out that Apple will launch the new 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone, the price will
be lower, while the high-end iPhone8 will account for 40% of all new iPhone
production.
