Micromax Canvas Unite 4 and Unite 4 Pro
After launching a
bunch of smartphones under the Canvas and Bolt series this year, the company
has launched two new Canvas Unite range phones. Dubbed the Micromax Canvas
Unite 4 and Unite 4 Pro, the new smartphones in the Unite range are the first
devices to run Indus OS 2.0, which is based on Android.
Indus OS 2.0 offers support for 12
regional languages, App Bazaar, Indus-to-Indus free SMS service, Indus Swipe
feature, and text-to-speech technology in six Indian languages. Both phones
also offer an inbuilt runtime transliteration feature that works offline as
well. The Unite 4 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based Indus OS 2.0
out-of-the-box, while the Unite 4 Pro boots the Android Lollipop-based Indus
OS. The latter will also be getting a Marshmallow update in the coming weeks.
