LYF Earth 2
Reliance Retail's sub-brand LYF has
added another smartphone to its flagship portfolio dubbed the Earth 2. The
company had launched the Earth 1 back in January this year for Rs 23,999, which
is currently retailing for Rs 18,699 on Amazon.
The Earth 2 sports a 2.5D curved 5-inch
full HD IPS panel with a pixel density of 445ppi. Going over the cameras, it
features a 13 MP shooter at both the front and back. The rear camera is
accompanied by laser auto focus and a dual tone LED flash. The front facing
snapper features phase detection autofocus along with a LED flash. Another
standout feature of the cameras is the ability to click pictures and switch
between cameras using voice commands. The smartphone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop,
and is fuelled by a 2,500 mAh battery.
The Earth 2 is largely focussed on
smartphone security, and sports a retina scanner along with a fingerprint
sensor. The retina scanner positioned on the front-facing shooter scans the eye
to unlock the device. The device also allows users to launch their favourite
apps from the lock screen by making use of their fingerprints stored on the
fingerprint scanner. Under the hood, users will find an octa-core Snapdragon
615 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, which has been paired with 3 GB of RAM. The
phone offers 32 GB of storage with an option to expand it to 128 GB via a microSD
card.
The Earth 2 can be grabbed from Reliance
Digital stores for Rs 21,599. The company is offering a free Jio 4G SIM to
appeal to more customers.
