LYF Flame 5
After launching the LYF Flame 1, Flame
2, Flame 3, Flame 4, and the Flame 6 earlier this year, Reliance Retail has
launched the sixth smartphone in the Flame series under its LYF brand. Dubbed
the LYF Flame 5, it is one of the most affordable smartphones in India to offer
4G with VoLTE (voice over LTE) support. The entry-level offering runs Android
5.1 Lollipop, and comes with dual-SIM slots.
The LYF Flame 5 offers a 4-inch display
bearing a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and a layer of Asahi Dragontrail Glass
on top. It utilises a 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, aided by 512 MB of
RAM and a Mali 400 MP2 GPU. For storage, the handset gets 4 GB of internal
memory, which users can further increase up to 32 GB by inserting a microSD card.
The Flame 5 comes with a
5-megapixel primary snapper with an LED flash and autofocus. There’s also a
2-megapixel secondary shooter in the front. Apart from 4G LTE and dual-SIM
support, the device’s other connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0,
GPS, and FM Radio. A 1,650 mAh battery keeps the handset alive.
The LYF Flame 5 has been priced at Rs
3,999, just like the Flame 3, Flame 4 and Flame 6 smartphones. The phone will
be available via major brick-and-mortar retail stores across the country.
