HP Chromebook 11 G5
HP has expanded its range of Chromebooks
with the launch of the Chromebook 11 G5. The laptop is powered by Chrome OS,
which means that the device will support Android apps in the near future.
The laptop features an 11.6-inch
anti-glare display with a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels, with an optional
touchscreen. Under the hood, the Chromebook 11 G5 is powered by a dual-core
Intel Celeron N3060 SoC, coupled with 2 GB or 4 GB of RAM. For video calling, the
laptop includes a HP TruVision HD webcam which can shoot in 720p resolution.
Both models of the Chromebook feature 16 GB or 32GB of storage and come with two
USB 3.1 ports and a headphone jack.
According to the company, the
touchscreen variant of the device can last up to 11 hours on a single charge
while the regular model can stretch it to over 12 hours. At 2.51 kgs, the
touchscreen variant is also 100 gram lighter than the regular variant which weighs
in at 2.61 kg.
The laptop has been priced starting at US$ 189, and will be available online from July before making its way
to offline retailers in October. Indian pricing and availability hasn't been
announced as yet.
