Zeaplus
K18 smartwatch
The
new Zeaplus K18 is another such device. It’s essentially a smartwatch (with a
round dial), but not a run-of-the-mill one. It comes with full Android (you
read right, not Android Wear but full Android), albeit a depreciated version in
4.4 KitKat.
Besides
that, the Zeaplus K18 also accepts SIM cards and consequently, has the ability
to make calls and provide access to the web without needing a smartphone paired
with it.
As
for the tech specs, the Zeaplus K18 has a 1.4-inch 400 x 400 pixel AMOLED
display, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of on-board storage and a MediaTek 1.2 GHz processor
(model unspecified). The K18 measures 47 × 58 × 13 mm and will come in
Black, Silver and Gold colours.
However, with companies like Elephone and
Mlais working on Android Wear smartwatches, and ones like Zeaplus doing full
Android watches, the end of 2015 should bring something worth considering for
lovers of wearable tech.
