Penta
WS802X
Pantel Technologies,
known for its affordable Penta Tablets in India has launched a new tablet in
the country in partnership with Intel and Microsoft. The Penta WS802X is
claimed to be the India’s first Windows 10 Tablet. It is exclusively available
to purchase on the HomeShop E-Store for a price of Rs. 5,499. This budget priced
tablet would empower consumers in the country to have access to desktop-like
computing.
The Penta WS802X sports
an 8-inch IPS display with a display resolution of 1280 x 800, which is
slightly better than a 720p resolution. Housing just minimum specifications to
run the Windows 10, the device is powered by an Intel Atom Processor clocking at
1.3 GHz. It is a quad-core chipset coupled with 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal
storage, which is expandable up to 64 GB via microSD card slot.
In terms of the
cameras, the Penta tablet has 2-megapixel image sensor on the rear while there
is a same 2-megapixel sensor on the front as well. They would not give you
incredible imaging outputs but should be good enough to capture casual photos,
or make video calls. We are not sure, but Microsoft might have pre-installed
Skype application on this tablet, which would allow you to do video
conferencing and many other things by using the front and rear cameras.
Regarding the
connectivity features, it offers plenty of functions including Wi-Fi, microUSB
port, Bluetooth, USB OTG and a 3G dongle support as well. Coming to the battery
capacity of the device, it has a 4000 mAh battery that should be more than
enough to last the day on an average usage. The device would be coming with
some free accessories like a keyboard attachment and a Bluetooth mouse, which
Rs. 2000 worth. Also, you’ll be getting MS Office bundled with tablet. It would
be interesting to see how this tablet would work in real life and empower
consumers with desktop-like computing.
