Cubot
X16
At
6.2 mm the Cubot X16 is going to be one of the slimmest, “affordable phones” not a lot of money will
buy. Latest news tells us it will feature a scratch resistant display and
feature gesture controls too.
There
are a few features to the build of the Cubot X16 which make it standout from
the rest of the low-cost crowd. For example the body is just 6.2 mm thick and is
made of a lightweight Zinc Alloy material, then there is a 2.5D curved display
and you can add in a scratch resistant feature to make the device all the more
durable.
All
the hints Cubot have released are pointing towards a phone that isn’t going to
cost a huge amount of money (powered by a Mediatek MT6735 chipset), but one
that might feature a more premium build and a higher level of ‘craftsmanship’.
The
Cubot X16 will come in either white or gold and features a slim bezel design
and a weight of 145 grams. The
Cubot X16 is on presale now for just US$ 76.66 during the launch period and will
increase to US$ 144.99 after.
