vivo announced its V40e in India today. The new device follows the design language of the V40 and V40 Pro with a curved 6.67-inch OLED screen and a dual-camera setup on the back with vivo’s Aura Light portrait system. V40e is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 128/256GB storage which does not support expansion.
The display features FHD+ resolution, a
120Hz refresh rate and up to 4,500 nits peak brightness. You also get a 50MP
selfie cam with eye autofocus. The back houses a 50MP (IMX882) main cam with
OIS and an 8MP ultrawide lens.
The software front is covered by
FuntouchOS 14 based on Android 14 and vivo pledges 3 years of Android version
updates and 4 years of security patches. Rounding out the spec sheet is a 5,500
mAh battery with 80W fast charging. Vivo V40e comes in Mint Green and Royal
Bronze colors. Pricing in India starts at INR 28,999 (US$ 347) for the 8/128GB
trim and goes up to INR 30,999 (US$ 370) for the 8/256GB version.
The V40e is already on pre-order from
vivo’s online store and partnering retailers. Open sales are scheduled for
October 2.
