Samsung took the wraps off its Galaxy M05 – the latest entry-level member in the M-series. Looks alone will tell you this is a rebadged Galaxy A05 and the specs confirm the similarities. Like the A05, Galaxy M05 brings a 6.7-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. The waterdrop notch cutout houses an 8MP front-facing camera.
There’s a 50MP main cam on the back
alongside a 2MP depth sensor and LED flash. Samsung went ahead and used the
same MediaTek Helio G85 chipset here paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage which
can be expanded via the microSD card slot. Galaxy M05 ships with One UI Core
6.0 based on Android 14 and Samsung is promising 2 major Android updates and 4
years of security updates. The device is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery with
25W charging support and features a headphone jack.
Galaxy M05 comes in Mint Green color and
is priced at INR 7,999 (US$ 95) in its single 4/64GB trim. The device will soon be
available from Samsung India, Amazon and partnering retailers.
