If you’ve been eyeing a new budget tablet that’s also under 10-inches then the recently announced Redmi Pad SE 8.7 might be just up your alley. It comes in two options, the first being Wi-Fi only and the second adding LTE connectivity. Both are now making their way to Europe, the UK, and other markets after debuting in India last month.
Regardless of which Redmi Pad SE 8.7 one
you go for, you’re getting an 8.7-inch IPS LCD with 800 x 1,340px resolution, a
90 Hz refresh rate, and a 5:3 aspect ratio. The panel is also rated at up to
600 nits brightness in outdoor mode and features a 5MP front-facing camera. The
screen is flanked by dual speakers with Dolby Atmos and you also get a
headphone jack if you prefer wired audio.
The back gets a single 8MP shooter capable
of FHD video recording. Both versions of the tablet come with MediaTek’s Helio
G85 chipset with 4GB RAM and 64/128GB storage. Storage is expandable via the
onboard microSD card slot.
The software side is covered by Xiaomi
HyperOS running on top of Android 14. Xiaomi also added a 6,650 mAh battery
with 18W charging support though the tablet only ships with a 10W charger. Redmi
Pad SE 8.7 comes in Graphite Gray, Aurora Green, and Sky Blue colors. Pricing
for the 4/64GB Wi-Fi only version starts at € 150/£ 120 while the LTE model is an
extra € 30/£ 30 more for the same RAM and storage.
